THE PROF
The owners of this vessel wanted to upgrade to cleaner engines which provided better fuel economy, increased performance and cleaner burning. THT removed two older series mechanical fuel injected Iveco 8060 SRM 30 – 300hp @ 2700rpm marine engines, and replaced with two FPT N60 ENT M40 marine engines (400Hp @ 3000rpm). New gearboxes, shafts and props were also fitted.
As a result of this repower, performance was greatly improved, lower fuel consumption, much quieter and no more black smoke on the transom.
Overall a very successful repower to see this vessel reliable for decades to come.
