ECLIPSE
Eclipse had been struggling with the old Volvo TAMD122D (450Hp) and was achieving a top speed of 16 knots. This vessel had a very tight engine bay, and through careful consultation before purchase, we ascertained that the FPT C13 500 (520Hp @ 2000rpm) would squeeze in.
The results of this repower were just incredible. Eclipse now comfortably runs up to 20 knots, even with a full payload and is now an extremely reliable vessel. Fuel consumption is down dramatically, and the performance has this client over the moon.
A new propeller and propeller shaft were fitted during this repower for maximum performance out of the new engine, however the existing Twin Disc MG 5111A was reused.
